It’s not often you get the opportunity to create a new identity for a venerated 26-year-old, global entertainment franchise, so we were thrilled to dive in. But this kind of initiative has special needs: generations of fans have grown up with the brand, and while we needed to signal massive change, straying too far from the time-honored Power Rangers essence would have been seen as a betrayal.

Collaborating closely with the Saban team, we explored a broad range of visual representations, ultimately arriving at the winner: modern, energized, and basically just badass. The new logo resurrects the original iconic Power Rangers bolt to acknowledge the heritage, and incorporates powerful typography with a subtle infusion of the multicolor Rangers color palette to deliver a fresh take for the next era of the brand. Across the world fans both new and old have voiced their approval so now, as always, “it’s morphin’ time!”
