F+F was envisioned as a holistic resource for the California seaside living experience – sophisticated housewares plus cultivated outdoor furnishings, topped off with a chic café.  The whole package. Our goal was to elevate the brand image, beyond simply a store and café, but rather an aspirational lifestyle.   Stylish, contemporary and warmly inviting.

A MODERN CLASSIC

The logo and identity system capture the simple essence of both sides of the lifestyle. The color palette evokes images of eucalyptus, warm sunlight and understated opulence. Because it was important to the owners that the visual language should be modern yet classic, we built an image library combining vintage etchings and bespoke illustrations to represent the brand’s offerings.

Our visual style extends across the entire customer experience, from signage to packaging to collateral (the website is well underway).  But the F+F brand is not without a touch of wit and whimsy. Images of the owner’s faithful wooly mascot, Babs, provide a playful counterpoint throughout.

The design system extends to FEAST, the casual restaurant on site. Our implementation on everything from tableware to takeout ensures that FEAST is a welcoming environment.
